Once David Rice (Christensen) discovers he has the power to teleport from one place to another, he uses his ability to search for the man he believes is responsible for the death of his mother. Complicating his mission is the existence of a secret organization who want to exterminate people like David, which causes the young man to enter into a shaky alliance with a fellow "jumper".
