Plot:
A small-town cop (Denzel Washington) has a torrid affair with a married woman (Sanaa Lathan) and falls so in love with her that he's convinced one criminal act can allow them to run away together. The woman's husband (Dean Cain), a former NFL quarterback, and another cop (Eva Mendes) investigate the crime, but the cop soon falls for Washington, too.
