Get ready for a rumble in the jungle. An elite special-ops team, lead by Bruce Willis, is secretly dropped into Nigeria to extract a doctor and three missionaries from nasty rebel forces bent on committing ethnic-cleansing atrocities. However, the good doc, Monica Bellucci (and her costarring cleavage), won't leave without the refugees in her care. So Willis bends the rules to get everyone to safety, with the baddies hot on their trail. The dense greenery becomes its own character with the help of grade-A cinematography. The guns are big, as are the explosions, and the statements director Antoine Fuqua (Training Day) makes about loyalty, genocide and freedom. Despite a few moments of heavy-handed sentimentality, overall Tears of the Sun shines.
