Shakira and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are celebrating after picking up seven 2006 MTV Video Music Awards nominations each. California rockers the Red Hot Chili Peppers were saluted for their "Dani California" video, while Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie" also wowed judges. The two acts will compete for Video of The Year alongside Christina Aguilera ("Ain't No Other Man"), Madonna ("Hung Up") and Panic! At The Disco ("I Write Sins Not Tragedies"). Madonna's "Hung Up" also earned her another three nods, while Aguilera is up for three honors in total. Beyonce Knowles, Panic! At The Disco, Ludacris and Justin Timberlake are among the first acts to sign up to perform at the ceremony, which will be held at New York's Radio City Music Hall next month.
