Mischa Barton was rushed to hospital after apparently passing out at a friend's barbeque.

The 21-year-old actress had a bad reaction when she mixed prescription medication, with a few cocktails.

During the evening while Barton was partying with gal pals Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton, she complained of feeling ill and became "unresponsive.''

Mischa's publicist told TMZ that Barton was now "resting comfortably," after a short stint in the hospital, with strict instructions to rest.

The star is said to also be suffering from exhaustion, following her recent trips to Cannes, London and Paris.
